Overview

marcus evans takes great pride in organising our flagship event, the 7th Annual Vertical Cities large scale event from 7th – 9th March 2018 in Bangkok. This conference which is a must-attend gathering, provides a perfect platform to discover opportunities and overcome challenges in developing vertically integrated supertall buildings, focusing on humanism as a guiding principle for future vertical typologies. With the rising trend of growing skyward, we will look into significant aspects in the entire spectrum of vertical cities from planning, designing, building, operating and sustaining. In view of the expanding future generations’ need for quality living, there will be topics on how to go beyond aesthetics and create socially engaging buildings.

This event will also uncover innovative design methodologies to grow an inclusive, well-connected, pedestrian-orientated vertical community which promotes multi-dimensional interaction between habitants and the city structure. We will also share the best practices of engineering and construction of architecturally complex high rises by harnessing the power of latest tools and systems. Get practical insights to identify and leverage smart materials and sustainable technologies to boost building resiliency and performance in terms of stability, fire safety, efficiency and energy-consumption. Unleash the creative side of you by taking part in the Super Skyscraper Build-Off, an interactive exercise which you and your teammates will build the tallest free-standing structure.
